Water Management

Is understanding the defined water policies and regulations for your area; then by planning, developing and distributing your water resources for optimum results.  Our company can help property owners grasp control of all stages of the water management from the initial stages of planning to routine maintenance.

Policies and Regulations - from Federal/State/Local governmental agencies these laws, statutes and ordinances change regularly.  They can differ by the type of property (residential, commercial or agricultural), and their water use (IE. gallons of water available for use each day, application periods, weather conditions, etc.).

Water Use History and Studies - from a combined effort of the property owner and local agencies; past water bills are gathered, or well log information is obtained, as well as pumping information is collected. This data is then combined with information collected from a system evaluation, to determine past and future water use.

Water Efficient Irrigation Products - the majority of irrigation systems are utilizing basic water delivery methods. These methods and products do deliver water but they are limited to there design; manufacturer's have recognized this over the past couple of decades and have developed tools  and products that can be from 5-60% more efficient. Examples of these products are:

Pressure Regulating Devices  - 6-8% reduction for every 5 psi lowered (IE. 60 psi operating system lowered to 30 psi for a spray or mister head is a water savings of 36 to 48%).

High Efficiency Nozzles  - 25%+ reduction for providing uniformed distribution and by reducing over-spray.

Weather-Based Control Systems  - 20-50% reduction in water use due to automatic adjustments, with the irrigation schedules based on climatic and environmental conditions.

Central Control Systems  - 25-45% reduction in water use depending on current water management practices.

Direct Plant Root Watering - 30-50% less water used by applying water directly to the plant roots.

Automatic Shut-Off Devices - 10-15% just for not watering on days when it is raining.

Routine Site Inspections - can identify problem areas before they become larger and repairs become more costly.

Recent Milestones

Since the inception of the company in early 2007; we have put up 4 weather stations and 1 centralized rain bucket.  There are currently 2 stations in the Ann Arbor, MI - metro area.  There is 1 station in the Rochester Hills, MI - metro area.  There is 1 station in the Grand Rapids, MI - metro area.  The 1 rain bucket is located in Northville, MI - near 6  mile and Beck Rd.

ET Connections, LLC. is currently working on the expansion of the network.  Plans are being formed for the addition of a weather station in Traverse City, MI. While negotiations and contacts are being formed in Ohio and Illinois, for expansion into those markets.
